The InterAgency Council of Monroe County is a volunteer coalition of representatives from membership agencies who provide human services to the entire population of Monroe County with an emphasis on low-income residents and at-risk citizens. The purpose of the IAC of Monroe county is to provide:

• A forum for discussion of community services provided by the membership;
• A recognized body to encourage coordination of existing services and resources on the local, state and national level; and
• A vehicle for developing and implementing improvements in the understanding, knowledge and services of those agencies.
